A registered agent is required in almost every state. The state needs a physical in-state address on record where your company can be served with legal documents. InCorp also receives state notifications on your behalf to help keep your entity in good standing — with the added benefit of keeping your personal address off public record.

No — formation and qualification filings are separate services. When you hire InCorp as your registered agent, we don't automatically register your entity with the state, but we're happy to prepare the complete filing once that service is purchased. For registered agent changes, our order processing team provides any required consent forms and can assist with the Change of Registered Agent filing.

In most cases, yes — provided your entity is also filed with the Secretary of State. Some agencies have requirements we can't meet, such as a county-specific address or an individual agent rather than a corporate one. Send us the document and we'll confirm whether we can meet the requirements.

Start by placing your order. Once you receive your confirmation email, contact our order processing team. Depending on the state: some accept a scanned signature (email us the document and we'll sign and return it electronically); others require an original, in which case we'll sign and mail it back or forward the full package to the state on your behalf.
